Information for Study Sponsors
Our clinical space is over 3200 square feet. We have seven examination rooms, two full size pulmonary function machines, a conference room, a dedicated clinical research office and appropriate support space. There is a dedicated computer system for clinical research with appropriate software. There are several closets. In order to ensure that research materials are safely stored, keys for these closets are restricted to the office's professional personnel. In the office, we also have the capability for methylcholine challenge, fiberoptic laryngoscopy, EKG, phlebotomy and tympanometry. We have complete access to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital's facilities, including the bronchoscopy suite. As appropriate we may use the University's or an outside institutional review board for purely out-patient studies.
Our staff includes three registered nurses and a medical assistant to facilitate study subject evaluations. Staff members participate in a variety of continuing education activities so they can improve their clinical and research skills. Our facility permits adding additional personnel, as specific research projects warrant.
