John R. Cohn, M.D. began practice at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in late 1982. He moved here from Duke University in Durham, where he was on the faculty and trained in pulmonary medicine (lung diseases) and in allergy and immunology. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Allergy and Immunology, and in Pulmonary Medicine. His active practice includes patients with a whole range of pulmonary and allergy problems. He is Professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, and he is Head of the Adult Allergy section. He treats children from ages two and up for allergy problems, as well as adults. He has extensive experience in evaluation and treatment of patients with chronic cough, lung infections and tumors, seasonal allergies, and asthma, as well as the effect of neuromuscular problems on the respiratory tract. His work with allergic problems in professional voice is also recognized in the field. He has served as an expert in selected cases involving environmental exposure and related legal issues.  He is currently president of the medical staff of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.  Click here to read the story from TJUH.
